It appears the New York Liberty have learned a thing or two from the Seattle Storm.
This Instagram post—a repost from the official Planned Parenthood of New York City feed, announced that when the Liberty host the Washington Mystics at Madison Square Garden on August 25, it will be in support of Planned Parenthood.
In addition, Planned Parenthood of New York City announced on its Instagram that it is giving away two free tickets to the game to whomever can come up with a catchy hashtag that fuses together hoops with their organization.

Of course, the Storm have been front and center in its Planned Parenthood backing—a move that when announced by Storm owner Dawn Trudeau garnered a bevy of national attention—as well as the usual critics.
It was the first time a professional sports franchise came out in support of the nonprofit that offers reproductive services to women. The team even held a rally outside KeyArena prior to a home game vs. the Chicago Sky last month.
