Encouraging literacy and the ability to write among our youth is among one of the most important skills one can have as they advance into their teenage and adult years.
If one happens to be a sports fan – as many kids are, what better way to sharpen one’s skills as a writer than writing about sports?
That is where the Write on Sports organization comes in. Based in New Jersey, it uses the skills acquired through sports writing in an effort to get our young to become better as writers.
The night of October 28, Write on Sports will stage its annual Fall Benefit event with a special guest – fresh out of the wubble, the New York Liberty’s Jocelyn Willoughby.
