The name Liz Cambage is a much-known name throughout women’s basketball, especially throughout women’s basketball in Australia. Cambage’s name has mostly come up stateside when fueling speculation about a WNBA return or in terms of her play in Melbourne or for the Opals.
It appears as if Cambage is ready to make a grand return to the States. She said that she has rediscovered her passion for basketball and has played her final contest in Melbourne “for a long time.”
Dallas has my rights in the WNBA, and I want to go back there.
She originally left basketball after competing in the Rio 2016 Olympics when she averaged over 23 points per game to lead Australia to the quarterfinals only to lose to Serbia by a final of 73-71. Since then, Cambage has played in the WNBL.
