Earlier this year, I had the chance to interview the reigning WNBA MVP Maya Moore, where I asked her if she had any product coming out with the Jordan Brand in the near future. She promised things were coming, and she delivered! The night before Saturday’s WNBA All-Star game, the 2x time champ announced the release of her first signature shoe with the iconic Jordan brand, the Air Jordan 1 GS “Maya Moore”!
Donning her signature logo on the tongue of the shoe, these obsidian blue beauties include fuschia accents and the Nike and Jordan branding in gold over a solid white midsole. Sorry fellas….these shoes were made with us ladies in mind, reasonably priced at $95. The shoes are on sale now at select Jordan retailers, including Eastbay.
This is a HUGE move for both Maya, the Jordan brand, and women’s sports and apparel! While many other players have had their own signature colorways in the past, Maya has a unique star quality and loyal young fanbase that will definitely go out and buy these shoes right off the online shelves.
Now can we get these shoes in women’s sizes, please?
