New Englanders have become used to witnessing winning basketball with the exploits of the Boston Celtics. The way things are going on the W side with the Connecticut Sun, hoops in New England will continue its winning ways.
That is where NBC Sports Boston, one of the regional sports networks of record for the New England region comes in.
The Connecticut Sun recently announced their television schedule for the 2018 season – and it includes the broadcasting of 22 matchups over NBC Sports Boston.
Our team is one of the most exciting in the WNBA, and thanks to our local broadcast partners, we’ll be able to share that exciting brand of basketball in households across New England. In addition, these broadcasts provide a tremendous platform to showcase the marketing partners who stand behind the Sun, what our league stands for, and the women who represent us.
–Amber Cox, vice president, Connecticut Sun
Along with the 22 contests that NBC Sports Boston will air, an additional five will be broadcast throughout the Constitution State on WCCT-TV Fox 61 CW 20.
The first game that will air on NBC Sports Boston will occur tonight when the Sun face the Chicago Sky at their new Wintrust Arena.
Last year, the Sun had 15 games broadcast on the regional sports network when it still operated under the banner of CSN New England.
Returning to the mic for Sun broadcasts is Bob Heussler, who will be joined by Sarah Kustok and Rebecca Lobo.
