New England’s sports channel of record is getting in on the #WNBARewatch party that ESPN, Monumental Sports Network, NBC Sports Washington and WNBA League Pass have already showed up to (and dressed to the nines at that).
NESN, which became the regional cable outlet for Connecticut Sun basketball starting last season, announced it would re-air games from last season’s unforgettable 2019 Sun campaign every “Connecticut SUNday.”
Connecticut participated in the WNBA Finals last season and came within one game shy of claiming its first-ever WNBA title after a hard-fought five-game series with the eventual champion Washington Mystics.
The first game, says a release, will feature Connecticut’s contest with the Las Vegas Aces on June 2 of last year. NESN will re-air the game on May 3 at 4 p.m. then re-air on NESNplus at 10 p.m.
