Last month, the USA Basketball women’s national team made history by defeating Australia by a final score of 73-56 to win their third consecutive World Cup gold medal.
It became the first time a team has won back-to-back-to-back FIBA gold medals. It also solidified 2018 as The Year of Stewie as Breanna Stewart added FIBA World Cup MVP honors along with her winning her first WNBA championship and earning the regular season and Finals MVP awards.
Thanks to the folks at FIBA, basketball fans everywhere – especially stateside – can relive Team USA’s historic victory in its entirety as the World Cup Final has been uploaded to FIBA’s YouTube account.
Going through WNBA withdrawals until tip-off the 2019 season next Spring? Of course you are. Hopefully this will help until we get things a-goin’ with the WNBA’s return!
