If one thing is definitely true about the WNBA as well as its big brother league – the NBA – they are very open to player feedback because both understand that they have zero product without said players.
While we can debate the safety and logistical pitfalls that could give the W a less-than-ideal time when it sequesters itself at its IMG Academy “wubble” in Bradenton, Florida, it appears that the message sent will have a purpose that is “Bigger Than Ball.”
WNBA Twitter, the W side is more aligned with the NBA than you think. Black Lives Matter will be displayed on the court and players will be able to fully support their stance on BLM….more details to come!

Also, I’m happy that both the WNBA and NBA will feature Black Lives Matter courts. The goal is to keep speaking on behalf of BLM and advocating for racial justice. The more it’s displayed, the more these conversations will continue.

Her important (*wink, wink, nudge, nudge*) tweets (along with an ESPN report) hints that ‘Black Lives Matter’ will be painted on its courts at the IMG Academy in Florida. The NBA and NBPA have given the go-ahead for something similar at its bubble at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex.
When anyone discusses the NBA either deciding to send its Black Lives Matter message or feature names of Black women and men murdered in cold blood, it must give credit to two WNBA notables. Those are Angel McCoughtry (who started a #SayTheirNames petition to have the names of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and others featured on the backs of WNBA jerseys) and Breanna Stewart (who tweeted designs of two WNBA courts with the hashtags #SayHerName and #BlackLivesMatter at the baselines).
