July 22. All-Star Game. Emerald City.
The WNBA announced that this upcoming year’s All-Star Game will take place in Seattle on July 22 at KeyArena, the home of the Storm.
It is the first time the All-Star Game has been awarded to the Emerald City which leaves six WNBA cities remaining as having never hosted.
Excluding Seattle, there are still six WNBA cities that have never hosted an All-Star Game: ATL, CHI, DAL, IND, LAS, MIN.

ABC (KOMO-TV 4 in Seattle) will broadcast the game which will occur at 3:30 p.m. eastern time, 12:30 p.m. Seattle time. There was no All-Star Game last year due to the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The 2015 All-Star Game, which was in Connecticut, ended in a 117-112 victory for the West team with Maya Moore winning the MVP award.

This is a franchise that has seen it all: No. 1 picks, championships, missed playoff runs, disappointing playoff runs. It’s time to see an All-Star Game.

Yes, we could talk about women’s basketball with the Pac-12 tournament and what the Storm has done. It extends to all sports. This is a city that loves sports and deserving of the All-Star Game.
