In lieu of an actual parade through downtown Seattle (as was the case in 2018), the Seattle Storm are taking to the virtual realm to honor its team after winning its latest bit of hardware.
The 2020 WNBA champion Storm have announced a virtual rally set for Friday in celebration of the franchise’s fourth crown. The festivities will be hosted by Storm broadcaster Elise Woodward and will also feature Breanna Stewart (two-time Finals MVP), Mercedes Russell and Jewell Loyd raising the Storm flag atop Seattle’s most recognizable landmark – the Space Needle.
Stewie🏆, The Gold Mamba🐍 and MerSLAYdes🔥 will kick off our celebration Friday by raising the Storm flag on top of the @space_needle ⛈️

Scheduled to speak include several players as well as Storm owners Lisa Brummel, Ginny Gilder and Dawn Trudeau. Force 10 Hoops CEO and GM Alisha Valavanis will also be part of the festivities.
It will also include, according to a release, a conversation with the Storm’s head coach for this season, Gary Kloppenburg, plus conversations with a number of players. Our guess is we will also get a cameo appearance from the Storm moms that may go something like this….
