If the Los Angeles Sparks do advance to the WNBA Finals, it will not be via sweep of the Chicago Sky. The Sky managed to come from behind against LA and extend its semifinals series to a Game 4 by defeating the Sparks, 70-66.
At one point in the game, the Sparks had a 15-point lead in the second quarter. Chicago with its season on the line, rose to the occasion and managed to keep the series alive.
Courtney Vandersloot led Chicago with 17 points. Imani Boyette pitched in with a double-double as she scored 13 and also pulled down 11 rebounds. Clarissa dos Santos added 10 points.
Nneka Ogwumike had another big game with 22 points and going nine of 13 from the field. Kristi Toliver had 13 points, but was only three for 12 from three-point range. Candace Parker only had nine points in almost 35 minutes of play.
Game 4 will take place on Tuesday.
