In the buildup to this year’s trade deadline, it did not appear as if any major trades would be made. There was a certain down period between trades.
Then—Atlanta and Chicago decided to change things.
So much for the tumbleweeds: AP Sources: @ImaniBoyette and @tyoung11 to @AtlantaDream for Hooper and 1st round pick in draft.

The Hooper in this case is Jordan Hooper (perfect last name for any basketball player) who also had a stint with the Connecticut Sun. The Dream will also acquire the Sky’s second-round draft pick.
Currently, the Dream stand as the eighth seed in the playoff picture and would play the Phoenix Mercury, the five-seed, if the postseason were to begin today.
It is not the first time Young has played for the Dream as she was in Atlanta for the first few years of her career. For Boyette, it is her first time in the ATL after being selected by the Sky with the tenth pick in the 2016 draft.
