PUMA’s gain is apparently Nike’s loss.
This morning, Skylar Diggins-Smith made a bit of news when she announced she was joining PUMA as a Women Ambassador.
Among those that are also under the PUMA umbrella include Rihanna and Kylie Jenner.
Interestingly enough, she is joining a line that currently does not make basketball shoes as Adidas and Nike (Jordan Brand included) does. One wonders if that will change given the ink is apparently dry on Diggins-Smith’s deal with PUMA.
While with Nike, she was involved in a number of initiatives pushed by the Swoosh—including as a special guest for the launch of a Nike boutique in Chicago.
Ironically, she is also the latest member of Jay-Z’s RocNation to also sign on the dotted line with PUMA.
She is confident, talented, and an inspiration to young women. We are excited to have her join our team of female ambassadors.
