Including his status as part of the investment group that owns and operates the Los Angeles Sparks, Magic Johnson has received as much praise over the years for him being the model Black entrepreneur as he was a model basketball player.
Johnson, in very entrepreneurial fashion, is always looking to grow and diversify his portfolio – and he did it with his latest move.
“Even before Michael asked me to join, I was probably buying 300 to 500 jerseys every single year to sign and give away to charities,” @MagicJohnson says. He will be joining the board of sports merchandising giant Fanatics. “I’m really excited,” he adds. https://t.co/Lo0osbbhOt pic.twitter.com/JGho9YOJnS

The Lakers great and Sparks co-owner will be joining the Board of Directors at Fanatics, a leading company that specializes in licensed merchandise.
It’s an honor to be invited to join the Fanatics Board of Directors. I’ve been impressed with the evolution of the company and its ability to transform the industry over the past several years.
