That celebration will occur in Seattle this Sunday as the Emerald City will celebrate the 2018 WNBA champion Storm with a parade and rally at KeyArena.

More details will be released eventually, but we do know the rally itself will be held around KeyArena and Seattle Center. The parade itself will begin at 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
It is fitting that the Storm’s rally will culminate at KeyArena, given that it could be the last major sporting event at the Key before it is demolished. A preseason NBA game between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors is also on the docket for the Key prior to the start of its season.
KeyArena is set to be demolished later this year as construction is slated to begin at the site for a new arena to be built that will likely be a home for future NHL and NBA teams along with the Storm. That construction is now set to begin in December as recently released documents suggest it will not commence until an NHL team has been awarded to Seattle.
Any appeal to the Environmental Impact Statement could delay construction by potentially two months.
While that will still yet to be settled by the powers that be within Seattle politics, KeyArena in its current form will be the location of what is sure to be an unforgettable championship celebration for the team and its Storm Crazies.
