The Seattle Storm are establishing a dynasty in the Pacific Northwest, but winning a championship last season given the trials and tribulations of being in the IMG bubble in Florida was an accomplishment in itself.
The latest bit of flowers for Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart and company came via the Seattle Sports Commission, which held its 86th annual Sports Star of the Year awards. And they came away with yet even more hardware.
And your Sports Story of the Year… (drumroll please)@seattlestorm wins 4th WNBA Championship in the “wubble”. #86SSY pic.twitter.com/yo1kjiEIqW

Playing in a region of the country famous for its forests and mountains, the Storm climbed back to the top of the WNBA’s mountain last season after being one of a few teams that had its full compliment of players go the bubble.
The Storm swept the Las Vegas Aces en route to its second championship in three seasons and its fourth in franchise history. Bird has been there for all four and Stewie came away with Finals MVP honors for the second time in her already illustrious future Hall of Fame career.
Meanwhile – that appears to be not the only news Storm related as Seattle appears to be following what the Connecticut Sun did earlier this offseason in prepping for a logo rebrand on March 2nd.
