The March of Dimes held its 33rd annual Sports Luncheon in New York City on Wednesday. Among those who were in attendance was Swin Cash who was honored as its Sportswoman of the Year.
The organization initially announced the honor to Cash last week, which elicited a short but sweet response.

March of Dimes is an organization that to prevent birth defects as well as infant death and premature birth. According to its website, its advocacy efforts have led to over 100 wins in urging politicians to get on board with its ideals and the Luncheon itself has helped to raise over $13 million for this cause.

Cash has been a longtime March of Dimes supporter. Also honored at the event were former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning as its Sportsman of the Year, Peter Bevacqua, CEO of the PGA for the Sports Leadership Award, and George Pyne, CEO of Bruin Sports Capital for the Corporate Leadership Award.
The event was emceed by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and aired on MSG in New York.
