Remember the younger days when we would take to our backyard courts and we would school our sisters and brothers in a friendly contest of HORSE?
H-O-R-S-E is on its way to the W-N-B-A and N-B-A.
On April 12, eight from the WNBA/NBA ranks will participate in the first-ever NBA HORSE Challenge on State Farm. The two from the W’s realm are Indiana Fever legend Tamika Catchings and Chicago Sky sharpshooter Allie Quigley.
Along with some entertaining competition from some of the WNBA and NBA’s best, State Farm – the event’s sponsor – will donate more than $200,000 to go towards coronavirus response efforts.
The six NBA players we will see on Sunday night on ESPN are Chris Paul (Oklahoma City Thunder), Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls), Mike Conley Jr. (Utah Jazz) as well as Paul Pierce and Chauncey Billups – both former NBA champions that are now ESPN NBA analysts.
Sunday night – four quarterfinal contests will take place that will feature Quigley vs. Paul, Catchings vs. Conley, LaVine vs. Pierce and Young vs. Billups. On Thursday, the semifinals and championship contests will be held. Hosting the HORSE competition will be ESPN’s very own Mark Jones.
