A signature attraction of the WNBA’s All-Star festivities will be returning when the league stages its midseason event next month in Seattle.
The league announced that it shall be bringing back the three-point shooting contest during halftime of the All-Star Game, which is scheduled to take place on July 22 at Key Arena.
When it went away for a little bit, I didn’t really understand why it did, so that’s good news to me.

At a later date, the six participants for the three-point contest will be announced.
It will be very similar to the NBA’s version with five locations around the three-point perimeter. Those four racks will have four WNBA balls and one “money” ball. The regular balls will be worth one point each and the money balls worth two. A fifth rack will have all money balls.
Players will have one minute to shoot as many balls as possible with the top three scorers advancing to the championship round.
The winner will have $10,000 donated to a charity of her choice.
