Prior to reaching the WNBA, Tiffany Bias wore the uniform at Andover Central High School in Kansas before embarking on a career that took her to Oklahoma State and then to the W.
This previous weekend, she held her first basketball camp at her old high school.
The plan, reportedly, is to make the camp a year-by-year event. About 30 youngsters, some as young as six, took part in a litany of exercises and hoops drills.
I think it’s crazy because I don’t think the older kids realize how big it is for the younger kids to see them do drills and work with them and do some drills together and all that, because them seeing that at that young age, at an older age makes them want to play and be like, oh, I want to do that when I get older too so just to have that aspect of it…

Bias was drafted in the second round of the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury and won a championship in her first season. She has also had stints with the Seattle Storm and Dallas Wings as well as overseas.
