The W’s wubble season of 2020 is coming to a close, but not before it still had a few more awards to give out to commemorate a number of its players that made plenty of waves in said wubble.
Of course, what is a WNBA All-First Team without the woman who was named the WNBA’s MVP for the season? As expected, the MVP – A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces) headlined the First Team in a season where the Aces competed in its first-ever Finals since moving to Sin City.
Also on the team was the Defensive Player of the Year Candace Parker (Los Angeles Sparks). Wilson and Parker were unanimous selections. Rounding out the team was Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) – who many believed was the biggest contender to Wilson for the MVP honors – as well as Courtney Vandersloot (Chicago Sky) – who also found herself in the MVP conversation, and Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas Wings) – who had a breakout season in the wubble after nearly winning Rookie of the Year in 2019.
