Out of the 36 selections that will be made during Thursday’s WNBA Draft—ten of them will feature players in attendance at the Samsung 378 building in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood.
Among those players is Washington’s Kelsey Plum, who was named the Associated Press’s National Player of the Year and projected first overall pick (held by the San Antonio Stars), according to some mock drafts. Kaela Davis, Allisha Gray, and Alaina Coates from national champion South Carolina will also be in attendance.
In addition, Alexis Jones of Baylor will also be present for the festivities. A pair of Maryland players will also be present in Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. Erica McCall of Final Four participant Stanford will also be present along with Northwestern’s Nia Coffey and Oregon State’s Sydney Wiese.
The Draft will air on Thursday night with coverage being shared between ESPN2 and ESPNU for the later rounds.
