It is becoming expected at this point that The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport will recognize the WNBA for a commitment to hiring diverse.
It is a sign that the W does not simply talk the talk on the subject of being a progressive sports league – it walks the walk.

TIDES released its annual report that gives grades to sports leagues on the basis of racial and gender hiring, and the WNBA once again was given high marks by Richard Lapchick and company. The W received an A+ grade for hiring diverse.
Its mark for racial hiring improved to 96.7 from a 95.6 in 2019. Hiring gender-wise, the WNBA received a 98, four points high than its 94 score the previous year. Its overall score also rose from a 94.8 to a 97.4.
