The WNBA and its teams understand that everyone is going through an epic sports withdrawal with this pandemic running roughshod through our country, our continent and our planet.
Its latest move is bringing us back to a somewhat similar time – more specifically, the 2019 season. It is offering a free preview of League Pass for the upcoming 30 days.
When the announcement was made, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert wrote what was called a “letter” from the commish regarding the announcement and expressing her gratitude to fans that have stuck with the W during this trying time.
Here is part of that letter…
As I watch events unfold, I admire how everyone is adapting to this challenging situation and showing flexibility and agility. It’s an admirable reflection of how we’re all taking to heart our responsibility to look out for one another. Our hearts and prayers continue to go out to those impacted by the pandemic.
