The Seattle Storm’s Twitter account is already touting merchandise on its official online store that features the new All-Star Game logo. As pictured, it features the Seattle skyline at the top of the logo, including its most iconic landmark—the Space Needle.
Also noticeable is the “Seattle 2017” inscription in green and gold—the colors of the Storm, which are an ode to the Emerald City’s currently departed NBA team—the SuperSonics.
It will be the first time the All-Star Game emanates from Seattle when the calendar hits July 22nd. Of course, there was no game last year due to the Olympics.
The last time there was an All-Star Game was 2015 in Connecticut when the West defeated the East 117-112 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. A 30-point outing from Maya Moore earned her MVP honors.
