Lisa Borders and the WNBA will close out its 21st regular season with an emphatic – and giving – exclamation point.

The league’s regular season finale on Sunday Sept. 3 – between the New York Liberty and Dallas Wings – both playoff-bound teams – will be livestreamed via music streaming service TIDAL.

It will be aired via the TIDAL app and TIDAL.com/WNBA.

There are two international languages, music and sports. WNBA fans are passionate about both and TIDAL brings these two passions together on one dynamic platform.

In addition, the game’s significance goes beyond the TIDAL deal. The Wings will donate $1 for every ticket sold to benefit recovery efforts from Hurricane Harvey. In addition, viewers will be able to donate the Red Cross and Dallas Women’s Foundation, that have partnered with the Wings, to support disaster relief efforts.

Justine Skye, a TIDAL artist will perform the National Anthem as well as be part of the game’s halftime show.

TIDAL partnering with the WNBA is the intersection of culture and an example of how we can all give back. TIDAL’s international reach not only not only brings the game to our overseas fans, but it also raises the awareness of all those in need.

And the Jay-Z connection, of course, is ironic. The game features the Liberty – who hoop in Hov’s home of New York and the Wings who have Diggins-Smith who is signed to Roc Nation Sports.

The TIDAL deal is the latest effort by the Borders-led WNBA to broaden its reach to a wider general public – including free livestreams of games via Twitter and the inclusion of the W in EA Sports’ upcoming NBA Live 18.
