If you haven’t noticed, there’s a whole lot going on in the world of Tamika Catchings!
Not only is she on a quest to lead to Indiana Fever to another coveted WNBA championship, but she is hands on with her charity, Catch The Stars, most recently hosting their annual Scholar/ Athlete Awards Dinner. Lucky for us, we were able to catch up with the All-Star last week when the Liberty hosted the Fever at Madison Square Garden. The Fever put up a gritty fight to the end, walking away the victor in a 80-63 win.
Check out our convo as we talked about the game, her off-court activities, plans after retirement (summer 2016 is her last season), and the role her father, former NBA player Harvey Catchings, played in the early beginnings of what would be a very successful WNBA career:
The Fever have their work cut out for them this week, facing the Sky, Sun, and Mystics, all teams who have been making a splash in the East so far this season. Make sure you tune in to see how these great teams battle it out.
