For the first time in a while, the Phoenix Suns have looked a lot like … the Phoenix Mercury.

The Suns, after its winning streak in the bubble last year, have carried that momentum from Florida into the 2020-21 regular NBA season. The addition of Chris Paul to a cast that includes Devin Booker (ardent WNBA backer Devin Booker we must add) has certainly helped Phoenix’s fortunes.

Apparently, Suns telecasts on Fox Sports (Bally Sports) Arizona are as much of a winner as the team as as it was announced that the Mercury’s Skylar Diggins-Smith will be part of Suns telecasts as an analyst.

Her first appearance will be prior to the Suns’ home game against the Golden State Warriors on March 4 at 7:30 pacific time.

She will join the team of Suns announcers and analysts that includes former UCLA hooper Ann Meyers Drysdale – a member of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. She also signed a contract with the Indiana Pacers at one point in her career and has covered women’s basketball for NBC at previous Olympics.
